About
Mendel Engelaer is a MSc student at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) working on the detection of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes in breast cancer whole slide images using artificial intelligence for histo-pathological images. He is supervised by Yoni Schirris, Andreas Panteli and Jonas Teuwen. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Bèta Gamma with a specialisation in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Amsterdam in 2018. Currently, he is finishing his Master’s degree in Bioinformatics & Systems Biology at the University of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (joint degree).
