Dennis Haijma is a MSc student at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) working on the application of Vision Transformer (ViT) for genomic defect label prediction using breast cancer H&E whole slide images. He is supervised by Yoni Schirris and dr. Jonas Teuwen. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Engineering at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences in 2020 during which he started transitioning into data science. Currently, he is finishing his Master’s degree in Data Science at the University of Amsterdam (UvA).
